Triumph Street Triple Motorcycles

With the world’s dependency on oil and gas today, many people are vying for options to save the amount of money spent on gas during these times when gas prices are rising.  Some people have resorted to walking and biking to the places in which they can.  Others are finding vehicles that have better gas mileage, and one of these options are motorcycles, as they usually can be very fuel efficient.  In Britain, one popular motorcycle brand is Triumph, who originated several years before the turn of the twentieth century with their production of pedal bicycles.  In 1902, the company produced their first motorcycle, and by the dawn of the first World War, their Triumph Street Triple motorcycles assisted the Allies and their efforts’ in the war.

Today, the brand of Triumph still stands strong, however, with over a century’s worth of history, it has seen it’s ups and downs, and through several different ownerships.  During the increased production for the war effort, the company started producing cars as well, but the brand was better known for it’s motorcycles, and, by the year 1939, stopped producing cars altogether, and focused on motorcycle production.  After the second World War, the predecessor of perhaps Triumph’s best known motorcycle, the Triumph Speed, was first produced.  For it’s day, and at just under five hundred cc’s of power, the Triumph Speed Twin was the sport bike of the late 1940′s and thereafter, and may have well been the lone reason for Triumph’s historic success.

The Triumph Street Triple is perhaps today’s version of the Triumph Speed.  It is a sport motorcycle with over one thousand cc’s of power that will be sure to turn heads everywhere.  The bike is well celebrated for it’s great manoeuvrability, distinctive design with classy looks, and a great price that will rival any motorcycle on the market today.  Most British citizens will find a price tag of just over eight thousand pounds for a brand new motorcycle, and considering the great gas mileage it will offer, as well as the aggressive and distinctive design, this motorcycle is a popular model often chosen from the great historic motorcycle brand that is Triumph.
