Triumph Street Triple UK

There are many words to describe the Triumph Street Triple: light, fast, stylish, and cool. The Triumph Street Triple was unveiled at the end of June 2007 and became available for purchase at the end of September. Its starting price is $8,799. Unveiled at the end of September 2009, was the Street Triple R. Its starting price is $9,599. Both motorcycles have their similarities and differences.

The type of engine in a Triumph Street Triple is a 675cc, three-cylinder, 12-valve engine. It has enough power for a new rider or if a person wants to ride on the open road. The Triumph Street Triple rides great and also handles well. A person sits in an upright riding position, while still being comfortable at the same time.

There are some excellent accessories available for the Triumph Street Triple. There is an aerodynamic fly screen for wind deflection and a sharp belly pan, which helps protect the engine. For those that like magnetic tank bags, two styles are available. What’s helpful about these bags is that they can by removed or fitted in seconds. The magnetic tank bags have some great features, such as clear map pockets, waterproof rain covers, and reflective panels.

The Street Triple R is very similar to the Triumph Street Triple, but it has some differences. The suspension has been upgraded to a 3-way adjustable inverted fork and gas charged rear shock. This a great improvement for a rider, who may have to stop suddenly or turn into a corner sharply.

Another difference are the front break callipers on the Street Triple R. It now has larger radial mount four-piston Nissin callipers. Plus the front brake level now offers six position adjustment.

Like the Triumph Street Triple, the Street Triple R has the same futuristic looking instrument panel, but with more functions. It now has a lap timer, miles per gallon, and average speed.

The Street Triple R, which was unveiled at the end of September 2009, is priced at $9,599. Its a great street bike from British manufacturer, Triumph. If you like to go fast, then the Street Triple R is not for you. With its upgraded suspension and brakes, its too easy to give into temptation. If you want to save some money, consider the Triumph Street Triple. Its low price may get avid riders away from their sport bikes.
