Triumph – Well Known Manufacturer

Triumph is one of the most well known motorcycle manufacturers in the world. This is because they are the oldest motorcycle manufacture. They started in 1902 and manufactured the Model H during WWI. It was called “Trusty Triumph” because of it’s dependability and durability.  The Model H was a very sturdy piece of machinery. By WWII Triumph Motorcycles had become one of the major exports for Britain. They were sold to many other countries that did not have reliable motorcycle manufactures.

In 1967 Triumph decided that they did not want to be left in the dust by the Japanese new smaller cheaper bikes. They decided to produce a super-bike. The Trident went 120 mph and was very fast compared to previous bikes. This super-bike was like no others that were produced during that era. The government eventually tried to aid in the motorcycle production of Triumph bikes and failed miserably. In 1983 John Bloor bought the Triumph name and decided to try to restart a successful company. The Triumph that is known and loved today is because of the hard work and dedication of Bloor. He manufactured new lines of motorcycles that used newly designed engines. The new engines had twin and triple cylinders. When the public got wind of these new bikes they went wild.

As the years have passed Triumph has remained one of the major contenders in the motorcycle world. They have manufactured many very successful bikes and remain very affordable. While there are many bikes available with classic looks there are some that are now available that look more like street bikes than cruisers. The Daytona is Triumph’s answer to the competition in the super-sport class of bikes. It offers the narrowest and lightest body of any of the bikes in the super-sport class. This makes it easy to drive and the manoeuvrability amazing. The Daytona offers great riding for someone who is just learning or someone who is very experienced. Triumph will not give up on being the manufacturer of the best bikes available. They will be a dominating force throughout the biking world for many years to come.
