Vauxhall Astra Details

General Motors created a subsidiary vehicle that was produced in the United Kingdom. This car was called the Vauxhall Astra. It was mainly built as a small family car that would not only give consumers the functionality of being economic and small, but would also give them the look and style that they wanted. This car has gone through many changes in the times from small but roomy cars with hatchbacks such as the Opel Kadett D. Then they moved to their MKL Estate, which was a station wagon that was small and compact as well. They created many versions of these cars in order to satisfy all their customers.

Vauxhall Astra then went to a more stylish type of car that had better aerodynamics. And then onto a car that not only had better quality but also a better style such as the Mark III. As this manufacturer grew, they took full advantage of the technology that rapidly grew with better engine performance and more options when it came to the way the car looked such as panoramic windscreen windshields.

The Vauxhall Astra also became an electric car that had a maximum speed of 70 miles per hour and could hold a charge for the traveler to go at least 100 miles. This car was ideal for the family for its economic use as well as the way it was built in order to accommodate families. The Astra was used often by the British police as a vehicle workhorse because of its durability. It was used for everyday duties as well as some pursuits of criminals if needed. These cars are still being used on roads in London today by the police because it is small and compact and does the job very well.

The popularity of the Vauxhall Astra has constantly grown in the United Kingdom. It comes in second to the very popular Ford Escort and Ford Focus. It is the favorite in the small family car category because of its price and accountability. Today, the style of the car has improved with a great sporty look, a spacious interior hidden by its small design, and special features such as a convertible top for those consumers who want a little more versatility. It is a great compact car that performs well on the vehicle market today.
